The Sunday Edit #8 | Appointments, Shopping and Catch Ups!

I didn't have much planned for this week so I was sort of taking every day as it came, I did have a few lazy days but I thought i'd share my week with you anyway!

Monday, not a lot was done as the weather wasn't too great and it looks like Autumn is coming- hence why I wore a chunky scarf and not a lot of colour. I woke up early and booked my doctors appointment. My sisters text me to say that they were coming around my house so I was quite excited as I hadn't seen them both much in a little while. We spent the afternoon nattering away about anything and everything- it was so nice to have a good catch up! My mum then decided to drag me to B&Q with her, yawn! We also popped into Asda to buy some fruit so that I could make some smoothies and juices in the week. I then persuaded my mum to take me to McDonalds which was super naughty! As if we didn't have enough takeaway while we were away.

Tuesday was the day I had been dreading for a little while, I had to go to the doctors to have a Meningitis vaccine. I've had quite a few needles in the past few years but for some reason I was really nervous, it didn't help that the person before me was screaming the place down while having theirs done. The nurse was lovely though and it was over within two minutes. Again I went shopping with my mum and we got a free packet of Disney Princess cards for spending over a certain amount- woo!
I spent the evening watching Educating Cardiff and if you weren't aware I'm actually from Cardiff myself. It was cringe worthy but it made me miss high school a lot!

On Wednesday, I woke up early well at least it was earlier than I have woke up in a while. I love the summer holidays! To start the day I had a pineapple, apple and carrot juice and got ready for the dentist. I was scared that i'd have to have another filling but no, all went well thankfully! I then popped into the agency I've started working for, for a meeting then went to visit my friend in work. Although I am trying not to spend at the moment, I couldn't resist a browse in town as I had two vouchers for Topshop (and other stores within the same group) and Boots. I was a left a little disappointed when I didn't manage to spend my Boots one, shock horror! I just wasn't really feeling anything. I did however pick up a pair of new pointed boots for Autumn/Winter from Dorothy Perkins and I love them!

MMM!
Not much was done on Thursday, except blogging! Me and my sister decided to pop to IKEA on Friday though, she is a teacher so was in need of a few bits for the classroom but I couldn't resist a trip to IKEA as i'm a lover of all things home ware! I didn't need anything so I didn't get anything, apart from Pick N Mix which I never have so I allowed myself. Last minute me and my friends decided to go out for food, we went to Las Iguanas again which was lovely! It was really nice to have a good catch up too!

I've not got much planned this weekend so i'm going to leave it there, however if something drastic happens i'm sure I will update you! I'm not sure if you'll see a Sunday Edit from me next week as it's Back To School week and i'll be busy sorting out things for work for when I start, however you shall see other things from me!
Happy Bank Holiday Weekend!

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO THIS WEEK?

The Sunday Edit #7 | HOLIDAY 2015

The Friday before last, you may or may not know that I went on a short holiday to South Devon. I used to do Sunday Edits on my blog quite regularly but I haven't in a while because my life was filled up with college, college work and working in the evenings too. Seeing as I had a break from everything, I thought i'd share with you what I got up to whilst on my travels.

On the 14th August, my parents, siblings and myself traveled down to Exeter as that was where we were staying the first night, in a hotel just outside of town. Once we arrived we checked into the hotel and much to my delight I had a double bed to myself which I very much enjoyed, i'd love a double at home but I simply don't have the space for it unfortunately! We threw our bags down and headed out for brunch, we went straight to the vintage cafe we went to before but unfortunately it was closed for refurbishment so we settled for the next one along down the road.
We did a little bit of exploring in the town centre and I was very good and didn't spend too much- I did however pop into Lush to buy the Mask of Magnaminty and a gift for my sister. We also saw the Cathedral which was lovely then made our way to the local pub, I had hunters chicken which was amazing!

Saturday was my younger brothers birthday, happy birthday to him! We had breakfast at the hotel which was a choice of cereals, fruit and a cooked breakfast which was lovely and then we made our way down to Dawlish where we were staying for the rest of our holiday. Again we explored the town a little, ate ice cream on the beach front- I had cookies and cream which was so delicious! I also bought some duck food, I felt like a child again feeding the ducks and I was also chased by some pigeons for some food. After a short while, we made our way to the holiday park to settle in and explored the beach and shops down the road. I was quite pleased with the pictures I took and my brother had a lovely day- more celebrations to come!

On Sunday we decided to pop down to Torquay sea front as we were planning on getting a boat from there, unfortunately it wasn't running that day. Instead we played some pitch and putt then started a long walk to a nearby village called Cockington which was absolutely beautiful. It had the most gorgeous tea rooms where a man played the piano whilst people ate, it also had a series of independent craft shops which all had some beautiful pieces which I didn't get any pictures of unfortunately. We did so much walking this day so we were pretty much done for the day and spent the evening relaxing.

After the boat trip fail on Sunday, we decided to go on Monday instead. The trip was to Exmouth another nearby seaside town, there were some stunning views from the boat which I've included here. Once we arrived, we walked along the beach then made our way to the fun park which is obviously aimed at the kids but we couldn't help it, ok!? My brother and I could not resist the swan pedal boats on the lake, we had so much fun and if I do say so myself I was a pretty good driver- it was also a good but tiring leg workout too! We also played some mini golf which I must admit i'm not great at, but it was fun nonetheless- haha! The weather was lovely the first half of the holiday so we were pretty hot and tired by this time so stopped for a drink and we also had the most amazing chips I've had from a takeaway in a while! We walked through the park into town and saw some squirrels which came so close, we had a browse around some of the little shops then walked back to catch the boat. We even saw a seal sunbathing on a sand bank on route back, which was cool!

On Tuesday we had a lie in as my other two sisters spontaneously decided to come down and see us. We drove to Teignmouth and spent ages looking for a parking space, it was really busy! Once we finally found one, again we explored the town centre. Do you see a running theme here? All are so different and have a lot of independent stores that you won't find anywhere else so it didn't get boring. Next we made our way down to the pier and I had my palm read(by a machine in the arcade, which I know will be complete waffle but why not!?). We spent a while looking for somewhere to each lunch and settled on a lovely pub which I've forgotten the name of but I had scampi which was a perfect seaside lunch! However, the deserts weren't the best so we made our way back down to the pier for a good ol' 99. Seeing as the weather was still lovely, we took an evening walk down the beach and enjoyed some freshly cooked hot donuts- mmm!

Wednesday was when the weather took a turn for the worse and was unfortunately grey, miserable and rainy. However, we didn't want to stay in all day so I did a quick google search and the House of Marbles was highly suggested for rainy days- it was basically a pottery, marble and toy museum. I know, it doesn't sound the most thrilling but it had good reviews so we thought we'd give it a go. Half an hour later, we were out- it was super busy and quite frankly we personally found it boring.  Instead we went to the nearest retail park and did some shopping, I bought some American candy- a Tootsie Roll and Cookie Dough Bites which I was super excited to try but I didn't particularly like either. I nearly cried in Pets at Home because I can't have a rabbit and I had a Lemon Ice Tea from Costa which was lovely. I also saw a few wild rabbits at our holiday park, which made up for earlier!

Thursday was another rainy day but we decided we would face the rain and get out in it so we drove down to Ottery, St Mary which apparently is the only place in England to spot wild beavers. The wildlife park we visited was lovely, we saw otters being fed and enjoying their enrichment, watched a birds of pray display where I may or may not have got hit by the wings of a Harris Hawk- scary but I wasn't the only one and nobody was injured. We also walked through the enclosure of red squirrels which was cool as I don't think I've seen a red squirrel before. They were so cute and got so close!
We stopped by the cafe where I enjoyed a nice cold lemonade before heading back to town to enjoy fish and chips by the beach, time in the amusements where I won a Harry Styles keying, haha!

Our final day in Dawlish was Friday. We woke up super early to pop down to the bakery and gift shop in the town centre to buy gifts for our family. It was rainy and we were certainly very tired after a busy week so our moods weren't the greatest. We decided to make our way home earlier than expected as we were supposed to be staying til Saturday. I picked up a piece of chocolate cake in the bakery to cheer me up and enjoy at home, I will start to eat healthier now that i'm back but holidays are for treating yourself right?

Overall, it was a lovely week and everyone certainly enjoyed themselves. It's nice to get away and have a break from the norm, relax and spend lots of quality time with your family. I believe I said this last year, as much as I love this part of England i'm hoping to save up and go abroad with my friends next year. Watch this space!

What have you been up to this week or in fact, throughout the Summer?
Let me know in the comments below!

The Sunday Edit #6

Hello!
I can't believe it's Sunday already this week, I'm a tad confused- it feels like the week has been so long but yet gone so quick also!? Does anybody else get that feeling? (Probably just me as it makes no sense, I know!)
I'd really like to say this week has been productive, but nope it hasn't- I'm such a procrastinator. The weather here in Wales has been so lovely so it's made me pretty tired and in the mood where you don't want to do a lot, and that's exactly what's happened. I feel like I say this every week but I haven't done anything remotely exciting.
Here's a quick summary of my week in images, I take a lot of pointless photos oops!
Well I thought I had a photo of this, but me and my friend are trying to get fitter so we went on a bike ride around a near by lake, I loved it as it meant we could have a well-needed catch up!

Please ignore my legs.
I thought I'd spend the day in the Sun, with crackers and Lemon ice tea, yum!

Lemon Ice Tea
I admit, I stayed in at the beginning of the week to wait for deliveries(I'm pretty sure everyone sits at their door waiting for the postman(not really, I don't do that- promise!). They came on Wednesday, yay! An order from The Body Shop and my very first order from Misspap.co.uk, I'm impressed! You can see the Kimono a little below..
Deliveries
On Thursday there was a motive, a well-needed stop at Primark. Indeed a shopping day!
Made smaller so you don't have to see my feet in detail..
I expected to go earlyish(around 11) but my sister was busy moving things into her new home which she is now in*cries*, so we didn't end up going in til 2ish. We made a pit-stop at a few stores including Topshop and River Island to look for nude T-Bars, until I found these beauties in Primark! I love them! We also popped into h&m but we didn't have much time left due to only paying for 2 hours parking so I had to put a few items back, which I do intend on purchasing another time! Here's a quick nose at what I purchased, you may of seen this on Instagram.
Purchases!
I will be doing a haul this week, I'm just waiting for a couple of items in the post!
That's pretty much it for the week because of course I'm not going to bore you with what I got up to this weekend because it was just lazy days and work! I'm off next week though, sigh of relief!
Next you'll see my July favourites so, until then!

The Sunday Edit #5

Hello!
Here I am again, continuing with The Sunday Edit, like I said I would be! In all honesty I haven't been up to a lot this week, and this week I mean it I feel like I've done nothing so I wont be going through this Sunday Edit daily- just giving you a short low-down on what I've been doing and where I've been.

View image.png in slide show
Please excuse the use of language- haha! I couldn't believe how accurate this was so had to share it!

If i'm quite honest I cant even remember what I got up to at the beginning of the week, must of been super exciting eh? Usually i'd start the week of with doing some blogging but I haven't this week as I've been feeling really uninspired and just not really in the blogging mood, although I did manage to get a scheduled post up on what i'm doing to protect myself from the sun so please give that a look!
I think the reason for me not blogging is the fact I was feeling a little nervy and anxious as my exam results came back this week on Wednesday, thank the lord I passed with a C grade that averaged out to an A with my assignments, the highest I could of gotten- eek!
If you don't know already but i'm in such a knot with whether I want to go straight into work after my Childcare course and earn little or whether to improve my opportunities for work by going to uni. I was toying between visiting a few uni's over the summer to see how I feel after, but after seeing a program on Thursday, my decision was made! It was called 'Britain's Poshest Nannies' and they studied at a college called Norland in Bath, everything about the course appealed to me apart from the hefty cost which may hold me back- but needless to say I was sold, I ordered a prospectus soon after and booked a place at the Open Day in September, yay!

The weathers been pretty nice towards the end of the week, although I haven't been out in it as its been so warm- throughout the nights especially it has been so warm! I don't really have appropriate clothes for the weather at the moment and it was Pay Day on Friday so I started to order more summer appropriate clothes- a lovely kimono from MissPap.co.uk so i'm sure you'll see that very soon as I've made and will be making a few more orders!

Again my weekend has been finished off with lie ins and working evenings which is the typical weekend for me at the moment, until I change jobs hopefully soon!
That's all for now as I haven't been doing a hell of a lot like I mentioned, so until next time..

The Sunday Edit #4

Hello!
So i'm back after a little break from blogging, this is my first post of the week whereas I would usually have posted 1 or 2 before this- but if I'm honest this week I haven't really been feeling like blogging, I've felt a little stressed and just not with it. But I'm trying to keep the Sunday Edit going, so here I am updating you on the week I've had, if i'm honest I haven't done a whole lot!

This week started with me having a motive, where has that been for the past 3 weeks I've had off college?!
As you may of seen on my Summer Wishlist is that one thing i'd like to accomplish this summer is to stop procrastinating and do the work I've been set to do over summer, that I did! I woke up early and got the work out of the way within an hour, so pleased! I then had nothing planned for the rest of the day so I thought I'd better make it productive so, I cleaned my room, cleaned downstairs and got the washing done as my mum hasn't been home all week- I felt like a proper housewife, haha!
My makeup brushes were also awaiting a clean after a short while so that's what I got done, while watching the Little Mermaid which I haven't done since I was about 7, and I loved every minute of it!

Tuesday- In all honesty I actually can't remember what I got up to on Tuesday, I think this was the day I wasn't feeling to great as I felt exhausted so I tried to sleep throughout the day and lets just say it didn't happen! I was supposed to be meeting my older sister to go food shopping as my mum hasn't been home all week like I said, that didn't happen. Pizza happened instead, oops! Just after I started working out too, yes that's right- i'm using the app PumpUp if you're wondering!

Again I didn't get up to much on Wednesday, I was supposed to go food shopping with my sister for the week but again it didn't happen. I had work, which was strange as I hadn't worked a Wednesday night before but I'm sure you don't want to know about that so!

Thursday is a little more exciting for you, this was the day of strikes so my sister was off work which meant I could actually do something. We were hoping for a lie-in but woke up super early, so we went for an early morning shop and I'm on a spending ban so it wasn't too fun for me, but even still window-shopping was enough to fulfill my need. I went into Primark to exchange my T-Bar shoes in nude for a smaller size, they didn't have them so instead I saved myself £12 which i'm not over the moon with as I really wanted them shoes! The weather was pretty good on Thursday, of course I wasn't appropriately dressed so I was boiling so we came home as I was starting to feel a tad ill. If you don't already know my sister is moving out very soon so I helped her to clear out, of course obtaining a few new items!
She said I could go and view the new house she's moving into with a couple of friends so that's what we did, I am so pleased for hear and very jealous too!

99p each- B&M Bargains

We finally went shopping, although there was only 2 days left we'd have to cook. I picked up some really cute pots in the perfect colours to match my room, which you can see here. We also decided to cook pasta bolognese which was honestly amazing!

Again like every weekend I am working, Friday and Saturday but this week Sunday evening too because of the world cup! I'm not even a huge fan of football but I'm not looking forward to missing the final as my brothers have a bet on, I'm not even sure who they've bet to win but they've done so well up to here!
I also received an order this weekend that I purchased with my FeaturePoints rewards, I got a Toni&Guy curling wand which I will be doing a blog post on very soon! And that's pretty much been my week! So that's all for now, i'll be back with another blog post very soon this week!

Until next time,

Amy X

The Sunday Edit #3

Hello!
I'm back with my third Sunday Edit, like I said I would like to continue doing this weekly, although it may depend on the week I've had and whether I've actually got up to much. This week I was slightly reluctant to do this one as I haven't got up to a whole lot, but I am going to try to do these weekly so here I am documenting my week.

Monday was the day I organised to meet up with my old school friends who I hadn't seen since March, so long! We were slightly unsure what we were going to do but it was happening, without a doubt- once I could be bothered to shower(disgusting- I know). Then my mum decided to make a spontaneous trip to IKEA and I was not letting it go, I love IKEA! So off I went looking pretty terrible with my sunglasses to hide my face, haha! We went to buy things for my younger brothers new room that we will be decorating shortly that I'm super excited about as I love decorating, I did my room last summer which you can see here. Also I'm hoping to get a little room updates post up soon so keep an eye out for that!

The faux flowers- £1 (I forgot to take a photo of the vase)
Anyway, I didn't buy a lot as I'm trying to save. There was a sale on and I saw a vase and flowers that I couldn't resit, the vase was 30p(what!?) and the faux flowers that were only £1, I haven't found a position in my room that I definitely want to put them but they look pretty! I've also been craving Pick 'n' Mix for a while now and IKEA had some, of course I got some although I didn't pick out a lot. Ok before I forget to mention I'm falling a little in love with SMART cars, so I had a picture with one and apparently I suit it! Haha!
The cool Pick 'n' Mix bag and drink from IKEA (mandatory photo)
Me looking rather rough next to the SMART car, want!
Anyway, I got home and got ready. We decided to go and see The Fault in Our Stars, I was a bit apprehensive as I hadn't read the book and I didn't know what I was letting myself into, both my friends had read the book and they said I would probably cry as I hadn't, I was not looking forward to it! Anyway I met my friends and off to the cinema we went, I was slightly nervous as the film was just over 2 hours but I made through it without shedding a tear, what!? The film was good, although I must say I don't think it was 'amazing' as everyone said it was, maybe because I haven't read the book but i'd still recommend it!
It was so lovely to catch up with my friends after not seeing them for so long, I really enjoyed it and hope to organise more with them soon!

The Fault In Our Stars (mandatory photo of the ticket)
Seeing as Monday was a tad long, I've decided to chunk Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday together as I did not get up to hell of a lot. It seems these days in the week consist of nothing, just me getting into comfy clothes and spending the day watching TV and having laptop time, oops! To be quite honest the only time I went out was Tuesday and that was to do a food shop with my sister and to get dinner, we had ready meals which is pretty minging but we couldn't be bothered to cook! I had tomato and basil pasta, yum!

Friday I had to be up early to go and collect my GCSE certificates from my high school, I've been trying to contact the school for weeks to see if they were available to collect but I had no luck, they said they had lost them- not cool as it meant I would of had to pay for each one individually even though it was not my fault! I spoke to the one in charge of them straight away and he got them for me straight away, so annoying as I was panicking that they were actually lost!
It was so strange to be back at my old school, it actually made me realise that I miss it so much. It was so nice to step back inside, haha I never thought i'd say that!

My Friday and Saturday nights are usually spent the same, working! I also didn't get up to a lot this weekend so I'm going to end this here! I hope I haven't bored you too much haha, hoping to get up to a lot more next week and make it more interesting! That's all for now..

The Sunday Edit #2.

Hello!
It's time for another Sunday Edit, this week seems to have gone so quick even when I haven't been doing too much! Now for the run down on what I've been up to this week.

Last Friday was payday so it was inevitable for me to do a spot of shopping the Monday after, this seems to be becoming a monthly occurrence recently as town is a lot quieter on Mondays rather than the weekends! So off I headed to town opting for a monochrome look(surprise surprise) and warmer toned makeup, going for a neutral smokey eye. Monday's weather was boiling, I didn't need to take a jacket as it was soo warm, so i'm very glad I didn't! First I popped to Lush, Superdrug then Boots, Tiger, ELF and lastly Primark. To be quite honest I didn't go in for a full on shop, just running some errands to purchase some products I was needing and the odd 2 or 3 treats.

Tuesday and Wednesday I did not get up to much at all. Both days I woke up around 9, got up cleansed, got into comfy clothes then onto the sofa! However I didn't just laze around all day, I helped my Mum with some housework and then got round to doing some blogging, scheduling posts and catching up on Bloglovin'. Again I caught up on some of my YouTube subscriptions to ease my boredom before the rest of my family came home from work and school.

Thursday I actually woke up with some motive. Again waking up at a pretty reasonable time 9:30, cleansing and then into the comfies! I then took some photo's for instagram and this blog and did a little editing. Today was the day I decided to do some baking, after quite a long thought process  of 'I need to get baking'. My sisters are doing the Race for Life soon, which I am hoping to do myself next year but my sister held a charity event to raise money. The event included doing beauty treatments such as nails, pedicures, massaging and waxing as she is qualified in Beauty Therapy, to support the event we made some cakes and she will be serving them with cups of tea and coffee, yum! I was in charge of the Victoria Sponge and it was pretty successful although I forgot to take a photo so here is it in the process!

Friday was a lazy day for me before working both Friday and Saturday evening. I did manage to catch up on some blogging but I'm not going to bore you with the rest of the day. I worked late Friday night so I really needed a lie in on Saturday but that didn't happen! I was up at 8 because I couldn't sleep and because I needed to shower before shopping.

I went with my older sister, we got into town around 12 o'clock and we went book hunting. My sister is a primary teacher so she was in need of a story to base her lesson around, I loved looking at children's books! They brought back so many memories and I just wanted to buy them to read myself, we managed to pick up 3 really good ones, 2 of those were from Poundland can you believe it?! We only spotted them by chance when picking up sugar for my parents. I planned to splurge a little on Saturday and give my wardrobe a bit of a revamp, it didn't happen. I came out of a Primark with shoes that were my second option and worst of all they didn't fit:(! The shoes are pictured here but I'll be taking them back to try for my first option, if not in a size 5.
Here they are in black, I purchased the Nude colour- would be perfect for Summer!
I didn't pick up a lot so I'll just make a list of what I got- a Natural Collection Lipstick in the shade I wear daily(I forgot what it's called) but I earnt 100 points on my advantage card for that! Maybelline had a buy one get one half price so I picked up the Maybelline Brow Drama mascara in medium brown, to fill in my brows a little and as a quick fix. I then got a Babylips in Pink Punch to see what all the rave was about last year. Ooh last but certainly not least I picked up the Tea Tree toning water from Lush.

I'm not doing anything this Sunday, I'm just relaxing and catching up on well needed sleep. I hope this hasn't been too much of a bore this week, hopefully next week will be more exciting as I'm supposed to be catching up with old school friends and seeing the Fault in Our Stars, so keep an eye out next week!

That's all for now, catch up with you next Sunday! Also hoping to get up a 'fashion' post up this week, may go awfully but anyway! Until next time!

The Sunday Edit.

Hello!
So this post is something I've seen a lot in the blogger world and I see many from the blogs I follow on bloglovin' and I wanted to join in myself, although my life is certainly not that interesting! So here's is just a short run through of what I've got up to this week.

Monday I was up earlier than I would of liked to have been on my first day of summer, I had an appointment at the bank at 10 am- where I opened my second bank account, purely to get a personalised card. Yes pretty sad, but my mum also kept saying to me 'don't keep all your eggs in one basket', wise words those! To break this post up I also thought i'd throw in here what I picked, so here it is-

Now Tuesday, again I was up earlier than I'd like to have been as I had to enroll back at college. I've now completed my first year *sigh of relief*. So there I had to sign things off, and finally enroll. Apparently my forgetful mind forgot that we had to have our photos taken for our student card, I nearly cried there and then mine is awful.

Wednesday was the day I was looking forward to this week. The day of the school trip, now I know that sounds a bit childlike but I helped out at the school where my sister works and we went to the aquarium. By the end of the day I was shattered, I couldn't wait to get into bed as I had spent the day with more than 50 6 year olds and even had a group of 5 of my own. This was daunting and took me a short while before hand to be OK with it as I've never been in charge of children that were purely my responsibility; none the less I took on the challenge and was actually successful- apart from one child near running out of the building *still internally screaming* but all was good!

And then the rest of the week has consisted of me waking up later than planned, getting ready and by ready I mean cleansing and brushing my teeth, throwing my hair on top of my head and getting into comfy clothes. Although these days have been pretty successful as I've written up a few blog posts, caught up on blogs and YouTube subscriptions and found out that I've passed my final assignment of the year with another A, so pleased ! I also have been to work in the evenings, but still I am very much looking forward to my night off tonight!

Hope this hasn't been too same old, and broke up my blog a little! I'm going to try and do these 'Sunday Edit' posts each week but that will be depending on what I've got up to during the week and whether its interesting enough to share! Haha!

Until next time guys,

Amy X
