What I Got For Christmas 2015 | Beauty, Fashion and Homey Bits!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas spent with your loved ones, I sure did! For those of you who don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you've had a lovely few days nevertheless. Today I'm going to be sharing with you what I got for Christmas. I know how boring it can get with the usual disclaimers at the beginning of these posts and videos but I'd just like to put it out there, I'm super grateful for everything I have received this year. I love reading these posts so I thought I'd do one myself! I'm just going to get straight into it.
First, I'm going to start with my stocking. We've had stockings in my house for as long as I can remember and over the years Santa(wink wink) has gotten so generous and made them larger each year. I have to say, I love stockings and would be more than happy with just a few stocking presents on Christmas Day. In my stocking, I tend to get the same kind of things every year like beauty essentials including cleansers, cotton wool pads and face masks etc which I love as it means I won't have to go out and make the same repurchases over and over again. I've been trying to take care of my nails this year and I kept loosing the tools so I received this dinky little set which is so handy, hopefully I won't loose them now!
We also tend to get a huge amount of chocolate, like most people I assume? Usually it would be gone within a few days but I'm pacing myself this year, sort of. Haha! I'm sat here wondering where it's all gone, hmm..
I also received some lovely candles including this mini vanilla frosting jar and lots of tea lights which are essential for my tart burner. I'm the worst for burning myself whilst lighting candles so my mum picked up this long lighter to avoid that, what a life saver haha! This was well needed.
Now I'll move on to the presents under the tree. My parents told me as I was getting money, I wouldn't have many presents to open but they were wrong! I was still completely shocked with the amount in my pile. I received lots of homey bits this year. Now, when I say homey bits, I don't mean home ware, I mean lots of bits that I'll use whilst relaxing at home.
First up which is possibly my favourite gift out of the lot was a new dressing gown! I've had the same one for about five years now and it was really on it's lasts legs- it wasn't the most subtle either- it was a hot pink leopard print one. The one I received this year is more subtle, a taupe/dusty pink colour. It's so cosy and I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of it. I also received this white snuggle blanket, we had one of these in our living room and it was held hostage up in my room for a while so my parents decided to get one for myself. It's so cosy, looks cute on my bed and will be perfect for the rest of the season. Oops, I forgot to take a picture of it but it's used as a background in the rest of these pictures.
Pyjamas are mandatory at Christmas, am I right? We always end up with a pair or two and I'm not complaining. I live in my pyjamas when I'm at home! First I received these super cosy Bambi pyjamas. These are similar to a pair I had last year, again from my sister but this time they have cuffed bottoms which I love as it means I won't trip over trouser legs that are too long!
I also had these pretty cloud pyjama bottoms, again they're cuffed. These feel so comfortable and stretchy so will be perfect for lazy days- by the way, these are from Sainsbury's if you're wondering as my mum left the tag on. What is Christmas without socks? I had three pairs of cosy socks which will be ideal to pair with my new pyjamas!
Next from my sister I had a lovely mug which came with a whisk, hot chocolate and mini marshmallows. It was perfect for during the evening on Boxing Day!
I've really loved Yankee Candles since I first discovered them a few years ago. I'm always tempted by the jars however I find the votives and wax tarts are such great value for money that I won't splurge. From my sisters boyfriend, he very kindly got me a load of votives and this rustic star holder. These will last me a good while and I love all the scents he chose so I'm so grateful.
From my other sister I received an adult colouring book. It was a good while since I'd been eyeing these up whilst shopping so I was so surprised that she remembered! She also got me some new colouring pencils and this lovely Cath Kidston pencil case to store them in. It's from the Kids section as she said the prints were nicer in there compared to the adults, haha!
I'm a huge fan of Olly Murs and was gutted when the calendar had sold out last year, therefore I had to go a year without one but this year my sister picked up the unofficial one- it's got some lovely photos in it so I'm not complaining. I also received an Olly Murs poster, my siblings know me too well!
Now I shall move onto the fashion and beauty gifts I received. I was so happy to receive a new watch as my other one had been playing up, this ones from Avon and is black with a rose gold bezel. I love it!
I saw this bag featured in a haul on YouTube and fell in love with it, especially when I found out it was only £20 from Zara. I put it on my wish list and my sister bought it for me, it's such a great size, looks like real leather and has a longer strap to carry on your shoulder or wear across your body. I can't wait to use it!
Last but not least, onto the beauty bits. I hinted to my parents that I'd love the Soap and Glory Whole She-Bang set and bless my mum, she was up at 7am on her day off to head onto the Boots site to order it. So lovely and I'm so thankful as it has some of my favourite products in and new bits I'm yet to try.
My sisters boyfriends mother was also kind enough to gift me with The Body Shop Coconut set. I love Coconut and The Body Shop so this is a win-win!
I received this really lovely eyes, nails and lips set, I swatched the products and was shocked by their pigmentation as these are from Primark! I'll definitely be looking to try more of the Primark Beauty.
My mum knows I love Real Techniques brushes so picked up the Expert Face Brush for me, however she accidentally ordered three somehow. I asked could I exchange one of them for a different brush and she said yes, we requested a return on Amazon and they accepted and told us not to bother returning the brush and refunded the money. I technically got a free brush, somehow!? And I've now ordered the Setting Brush. So lucky!
I've had my eye on the Stila palettes for a while and when my brother asked was there anything I wanted from the ASOS beauty sale for Christmas, I said I'd love this Stila Eyes are the Window Palette in Spirit. I definitely didn't think he'd get it for me and I was so shocked to open this on Christmas Day. Such a surprise and I'm so thankful!
Like I said earlier, my 'main' present from my parents was money. I also received money from my Nan, Grampy and Aunties etc so I shall be putting that money towards a new purse, probably more makeup and hopefully(if all goes to plan) driving lessons. I'm determined 2016 will be the year I start driving, we'll see eh?
There you have it, what I got for Christmas! I was spoilt this year, as I am every year and I couldn't be more thankful. Of course, Christmas isn't about receiving, it's for giving, loving and spending time with your loved ones. Gifts are just a bonus! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and that Santa was kind to you!
I'd love to hear what you got for Christmas so feel free to leave a link in the comments to your post/video!

30 Beauty Questions | TAG

This week I've been quite busy so unfortunately I haven't had much time to think about or prepare a post for today. However, I didn't want to miss an upload day so I thought i'd take a look some beauty tags and I've chosen this one to share with you today. I'll try to make sure i'm on top form next week, so bare with me guys!

1. DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FIRST MAKEUP ITEM?
I had to have a good think about this. I believe it was one of those makeup compacts with pink and blue eye shadows from Argos. I think I may still have it somewhere!

2. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT MASCARA. HAVE YOU FOUND ONE THAT FITS YOUR SPECIFICATIONS?
I really like long fluttery lashes, though the mascara must not be too wet nor too dry. I love the Benefit Roller Lash for this!

3. WHAT KIND OF COVERAGE DO YOU PREFER FROM FOUNDATION?
Medium. Something that can be worn as a natural everyday base but also can be built up to a high coverage when needed.

4. FAVOURITE HIGH END BRAND?
I haven't tried that many high end brands so it'd have to be Benefit.

5. WHAT COSMETICS BRANDS HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY BUT STILL HAVEN'T?
MAC, Urban Decay and Laura Mercier!

6. FAVOURITE DRUGSTORE BRAND?
This was a tough one! It was between Rimmel and L'Oreal. I'd have to say Rimmel as I've tried and loved a lot more products from them!

7. DO YOU WEAR FAKE EYELASHES?
I've only worn individuals once or twice and I loved them! I think I should try them out again, go all fancy for the festive season coming up! Any recommendations?

8. IS THERE ANY KIND OF MAKEUP YOU CANT LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT?
Mascara, I feel that I look more awake and slightly more done up with a quick flick of mascara!

9. WHAT IS YOUR MOST CHERISHED BEAUTY PRODUCT?
I imagine this would usually be a high end product that you love but I don't have any full-sized high end products! I'd have to say L'Oreal True Match Foundation, it has been a solid favourite for over a year now!

10. HOW OFTEN DO YOU SHOP FOR MAKEUP? DO YOU PICK IT UP HERE AND THERE OR GET LOTS OF GOODIES AT ONCE?
I've never actually gone into Boots and done a huge shop. Though, I think I should after Christmas and get a whole load of products for a new year. I pick it up here and there!

11. DO YOU HAVE A BEAUTY BUDGET OR DO YOU SPEND FREELY?
I don't necessarily have a budget, but I do try not to spend too much on beauty products- hence why the majority of them are drugstore!
12. DO YOU UTILISE COUPONS, REWARDS CARDS AND SALES WHEN YOU SHOP FOR COSMETICS?
I pop coupons in my purse and forget about them! I always use my Boots and Superdrug points card and always browse in the sale!

13. WHAT TYPE OF PRODUCT DO YOU BUY THE MOST OF?
Lipsticks, definitely. I've told my mum that I won't buy anymore until after Christmas. Let's see how long this lasts!

14. IS THERE A BRAND YOU ABSOLUTELY CANT STAND?
I had a good think about this and I don't think there is! Miss Sporty reminds me of the time when I used to use cheap makeup from magazines, it didn't look too great but that was probably my fault. But I don't hate Miss Sporty as I've heard they actually have some really affordable and great products.

15. DO YOU AVOID CERTAIN INGREDIENTS IN COSMETICS LIKE PARABENS OR SULFATES?
Of course it's always a bonus if products don't have these but it's rare that I look up the ingredients of products which is really bad. I'm sure i'm not though only one though!

16. DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP FOR MAKEUP?
Boots and Superdrug. I used to love buying makeup from Frangrance Direct online though as they have super affordable makeup. I may just go have a browse now!

17. DO YOU LIKE TRYING NEW SKINCARE PRODUCTS OR DO YOU KEEP A CERTAIN ROUTINE?
I buy new skincare products quite often actually. I love trying new cleansers as i'm yet to find the perfect one for my skin. However, once I start using a product that I like- I do use it for a good while or until it's completely empty so I sort of stick to a routine.

18. FAVOURITE BATH AND BODY BRAND?
Soap and Glory. I've just been lusting over their amazing Christmas gift sets!

19. IF YOU COULD ONLY BUY FROM ONE BRAND, WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
This may seem a little odd as I've never actually tried anything from them but MAC. MAC just about do everything beauty wise and so many people rave about it!

20. WHAT BRAND DO YOU THINK HAS THE BEST PACKAGING?
Benefits packaging is really pretty!

21. WHICH CELEBRITY ALWAYS HAS GREAT MAKEUP?
I actually have no idea for this one. I only keep upto date with a handful of celebs and I rarely look at their makeup which is odd seeing as I love makeup a lot!

22. DO YOU BELONG TO ANY ONLINE BEAUTY COMMUNITIES?
The Beauty Blogger community, I guess!

23. 5 FAVOURITE BEAUTY GURUS
*Trawls through YouTube Subscriptions*
Amelia Liana
Fleur De Force
Laura Black
Miss Budget Beauty
Vivianna Does Makeup
one more, maybe?
Lily Pebbles

24. DO YOU LIKE MULTI-FUNCTIONAL PRODUCTS LIKE LIP AND CHEEK STAINS?
They're handy, yes! I don't really use lip and cheek stains. I do use an eye shadow on my eyes and as a highlight though!

25. ARE YOU CLUMSY WHEN PUTTING MAKEUP ON?
I'm not the best, I do try though! I have had countless eye makeup disasters which I've had to frantically wipe away and do my standard everyday neutral look!

26. DO YOU USE A MAKEUP BASE/PRIMER FOR THE EYES?
I usually use the remains on my fingers of my face primer and just pat it into my lids. Some people use their concealer too, don't they?

27. HOW MANY HAIR PRODUCTS DO YOU USE ON A TYPICAL DAY?
If i'm washing my hair, 4(shampoo, conditioner, serum and heat protector). If not then 2(heat protector and dry shampoo).

28. WHAT DO YOU APPLY FIRST? CONCEALER OR FOUNDATION?
I used to apply concealer first but I was technically rubbing it off when applying foundation so now, it's always foundation first!

29. DO YOU EVER CONSIDER TAKING MAKEUP CLASSES?
Always! I'd love to learn how to professionally apply makeup. However, there are only a couple near me which either don't have very good reviews or are super expensive!

30. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT MAKEUP?
I love how much makeup can change the way you look by enhancing your best features. Makeup also changes the way you feel about yourself, you can feel so much more confident and put together with makeup. I love to experiment with makeup, is it sad to say that makeup brings me joy?

I really enjoy reading tags so I hope this one hasn't been too boring!
I'm not going to tag anyone in particular as I know it can be difficult to keep on top of tags you've been tagged to complete. Feel free to do this tag if you please, let me know if you do it and i'll definitely go and check it out!

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO THIS WEEK?

Halloween How To: | Dripping Blood Nails!

It's been a long time since I actually did something for Halloween. Gone are the days where i'd throw on my witch costume and go trick or treating, sigh! Instead of just wasting the opportunity to do something festive every year, I always do some pumpkin carving and baking! However, this year I also opted to paint my nails a little creepy and Halloween-y so I thought i'd share those with you today.

First of all, i'm not taking the credit for this design- I was inspired by sophdoesnails on YouTube, click here to take you to the video. She has some other nail art tutorials, beauty and fashion videos which I also love to watch!

For this look you're going to need:
-Base coat
-Top coat
-Red nail varnish
-White nail varnish
-A straw or you could use a cotton bud with the cotton removed.

1. First of all, you will need to prep the nails doing your usual nail-care routine and apply your base coat.

2. Next you will need to paint your middle and ring finger with the white nail varnish. I used this cheap one from a manicure kit, so I did two coats.

3. Whilst you're waiting for the first coat of white to dry, paint the rest of your nails using a red. I used a classic red but you could go for a darker shade, it might look more realistic too.

4. Once the second coat of white is dry, take the red that you used for your other nails and put a few drops onto some paper. Dip in the end of your straw and blow at the other end onto the white nail. The red I used was a gel nail varnish so was a little thicker than a standard polish, this made it a little harder to use the blowing technique. Instead, I used the straw as a dotting tool and dotted red in places to make it look splattered. I felt I was able to have more control using this technique, therefore there was less mess to clean up!

5. Once I was happy with the way they looked, I took a cotton bud with some nail varnish remover to remove any nail varnish that got onto my skin around the nail.

6. Finally, to finish off the design and to make it last longer, apply a top coat. I still don't have a top coat so I used my base coat instead.

And there you have it, blood splattered/dripping nails for Halloween!
I know this is last minute, but you've still got time before tomorrow to do this so let me know if you do!

Happy Halloween!

Stay safe and have fun!

Currently Loving | October Favourites

I'm going to be a typical blogger and highlight how fast this month has gone. Seriously where has October gone? Christmas is creeping up on us and I couldn't be more excited. Myself and Pastel Blasts Beauty have decided to share with you some of the things we've been loving this month, click here to take you straight to her blog and see what she's been loving during the month of October.

I think i'll start with makeup today, both are actually Rimmel products- just putting it out there that this isn't sponsored, haha! I picked up both these products on a deal in Boots, probably something like 2 for £10 which is a bargain!

I had heard lots about the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and I saw that it had been reformulated, claiming to have a pore blurring effect. This sounded perfect for me as I have quite large open pores around my nose so I was hoping this would minimise the appearance of them. It definitely does! This foundation is also very light and natural so is ideal for everyday wear. I also found it's super easy to blend so is perfect for when i'm in a rush in the mornings.

The next product that I've been loving is the Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 107. So many beauty bloggers rave about this so I thought i'd give it a go. I expected it to be a darker berry shade, however I find it's more pink on my lips. I have recently been really enjoying wearing it though as it lasts a good while on my lips with liner. I also feel this would be perfect for those experimenting with darker lip options, this is very wearable so give it a whirl!

Next up is nails, i'm sure you will have seen this nail varnish on my blog before. It's the Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Varnish in Hypnotise- the perfect shade for Autumn/Winter! I love wearing this on my nails, you can see my review here. Whenever I take this off, almost every time I want to put it back on! I think this would look pretty with a glitter on top and would look especially great during the Christmas/Party Season.

Now onto skincare. My first product is something I've rediscovered this month, it's the Soap and Glory Hot Cloth Pore Cleanser. I used to love this and I think I stopped using it as I was coming to the end of the tube. Recently I heard that this was a good dupe of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish which is something I've been wanting to try for a while, I decided i'd pick this up and give it another try. First of all, I love the calming scent which works well with a hot muslin cloth, it's relaxing and feels like a real treat at the end of the day. This has been repackaged and renamed but I will be going back to pick this up, it is now called The Ultimelt Deep Purifying Hot Cloth Cleanser.

The second product in skincare is the Garnier Fresh Essentials Moisturiser. I decided to try this as it was on offer on Feel Unique and it looks very similar to another Garnier moisturiser that I love. I think I may have already mentioned this in a previous post but I can't decide which I love more. They're both super hydrating and light on the skin, however I think this may sink in a little quicker. If you're looking for a new moisturiser to keep your skin soft and hydrated during the colder months, i'd definitely recommend this! It's roughly around £2 to £3 and I believe you can pick it up in supermarkets like Tesco and Asda.

For fashion, it had to be these pointed boots from Dorothy Perkins. These have been my go-to everyday as they're comfortable and look great. I'm quite short and so are my legs so I feel like the point elongates them, is that a thing? Haha! I've worn these so much already and there is hardly any signs of wear so I can tell these are going to last me a good while, yay!

Does a series count as a lifestyle favourite? My brother recently got Amazon Prime so I've sneakily been using his account to watch Parks and Recreation, he probably knows but we'll pretend he doesn't- haha! I had heard lots about this series, saying it's a must watch- it is! Amy Poehler is hilarious as Leslie, I love her!
I don't want to attempt to describe it as quite frankly I don't want to ruin it, but i'm sure a quick Google search will entice you! I'm gutted as only three series are on Amazon Prime at the moment, lets hope they add more!

Last but certainly not least, YouTubers! Seeing as it's been Vlogtober, there have been quite a lot of daily vlogs to watch. There have been a couple that have stood out to me, Diary Of A Spendaholic and Lily Melrose. Both very different, but I love so go check them out. In terms of general videos, I've been loving Laura Black(she's hilarious and absolutely stunning!) and Gem Lo Valentine(She is also beautiful and I love her style!) If you'd like to check them out then click on each of their names to take you straight to their channels!

And that's a wrap of what I've been loving this October. Be sure to check out Pastel Blasts Beauty and see what she's been loving this month too!

Bluebelle by Lola | Mani Monday on a Wednesday

It's becoming a thing where I plan to do a Mani Monday but as I post on Wednesdays, it's not really a Mani Monday, hence the title of this post. Today I thought I'd share about this gorgeous LOLA Nail Varnish in Bluebelle- I love the name! I received this in a Glamour Beauty Box earlier this year and I believe the brand is sold at M&S.

I have a few blues which I like but this has to be my favourite shade and possibly my favourite nail varnish at the moment. Unlike the other blues I have, this has no shimmer running through and is a solid blue with a slight purple tone in certain lights. It's very true to it's name in fact, it definitely resembles a Bluebelle to me. I feel this colour would look really nice on a range of different skin tones too!

The formula is great, like most other nail varnishes it needs two coats to build up the opacity. The drying time is fairly average, though I'm extra careful as I hate when you think your nails completely dry and you touch something and have the imprint, so annoying!

Now the longevity of the nail varnish is around five days which is pretty good before you start to notice the little chips and it's time to take it off and reapply. Also, bearing in mind I used a base and top coat.

Overall I am quite impressed with this LOLA Nail Varnish. I have just checked online at M&S and these are priced at £8.00, I must admit- I don't usually pay that for my nail varnishes as most in the drugstore are £5.00 or less. However, this doesn't put me off as I know they will last on my nails near enough a week which I definitely can't complain about! I'll have to go and have a look at the other colours in the range in store and I shall let you know if I pick up anymore.

Have you tried any LOLA Nail Varnishes? If not, what is your favourite brand of nail varnishes?
Please let me know!

Essie Parka Perfect | Mani Monday

I love a fresh set of painted nails and this week I opted for an Essie Nail Polish in Parka Perfect. This isn't something i'd usually go for as it's probably more appropriate for winter/early spring but I just fancied it.

As you can see below this is a lovely green/grey colour with very subtle flecks of shimmer which doesn't show up in photos, instead it makes them look super glossy which I am totally ok with. In order to achieve opacity only two coats were needed which is the same as a lot of polishes.

In terms of longevity i'd say around 3-4 days before it starts to chip, which isn't awful but it isn't great either seeing as I've had longer lasting polishes that were more affordable too.

These are £7.99 in Boots but I believe if you shop around online you can get them cheaper. These aren't the most affordable of polishes but I wouldn't write them off completely as lots of people rave about Essie, they also do some gorgeous colours that are too pretty to miss out on!

Whats your favourite nail polish for Spring/Summer?
Please leave me some suggestions in the comments!

Pretty in Pink | Mani Monday on a Wednesday

It's been a while since i've painted my nails on a regular basis, however I no longer work with food and i'm finally able to have my nails painted in my current college placement. Since then I've accumulated a few new pretty polishes to put on my nails, this week I've gone for a light/baby pink.

This is the Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Varnish in Sweet Retreat, part of the Rita Ora collection. I love Rimmel nail varnishes though I've found I'm not too fussed on the 60 second range as I find they tend to go gloopy faster, in all honesty I didn't realise this was 60 seconds when I picked it up as it doesn't say on the bottle but I cannot complain as I picked this up on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots, so technically it was free.

These are priced at £2.99 usually and I'd say they're worth it as this went on smoothly and only needed 2 coats like most polishes to ensure it was opaque. Though I found this took longer than 60 seconds to dry, I didn't waste half an hour waiting for 2 coats to dry fully. Once dry this polish left a gorgeous high shine on the nails which I love, longevity wise i'd say it was good it lasted me about 5 days before I needed to remove it. Definitely a bargain for only £2.99! There's lots more colours in this range and i've got my eye on the orange/peach shade, perfect for Spring/Summer although I can see me getting a fair use out of this pretty pink over the next few months.

Lauren Conrad Beauty | Book Review

If i'm honest i'm not really a reader of novels, though I do enjoy a quick flick through non-fiction and magazines. As you can probably tell one of my main interests is beauty so Christmas 2013 I asked for the Lauren Conrad Beauty book as i'd seen it was quite popular among beauty lovers.
I've had this for a year now and I wanted to write something different to the usual on my blog so I thought i'd do a review on what I think of it.

Immediately when unwrapping the book I thought how pretty it would look displayed on a shelf or coffee table as it's complete with a lovely dust cover. I love how simplistic the book is with a monochrome look throughout complete with beautiful images.

I have to be honest my initial thoughts were exactly how the book spent the first few months of 2014, though I did have a quick nose through it, it's main purpose was to look pretty displayed on a shelf in my room.

Once I had nothing planned for an evening I decided to sit down with a cup of tea and have a look through the book. The book features 12 Chapters based on skin and hair care, health, fitness and food, hair and makeup looks, nails and beauty through the decades. I wont go in depth on every chapter here but I will include my opinions on chapters that I thought really stood out.

Instantly I was drawn to the skincare section of the book as I believe having good skin is the basis to all good makeup. Though I don't have the best skin, I do try my hardest in order to put it in it's best condition.
I was most intrigued by the section on ingredients to avoid which is very handy and usually avoids mishaps of purchasing products that could potentially make my skin worse, I always reference back to this when shopping online for products- so handy!

#

Makeup Tips, Tricks and Techniques is a chapter I found really useful as it was only at the beginning of 2014 where I really started to get into makeup and beauty. This is great if you're just starting out in makeup or you feel you need more knowledge and hints to perfecting your makeup. The chapter also held pages on different brushes and what they can be used for which is again perfect if you're a beginner.

I still agree with my initial thought of this book being perfect for the coffee table as you can simply just pick it up, brush up where you think you need more knowledge and put it down without feeling like you're missing out. As I mentioned earlier the images in this book really catch the eye which I love when reading.
Featured are short, easy to follow tutorials on hair and makeup looks as well as nails- perfect for when you're planning to go out with the girls!

Beauty Through the Decades is the chapter I think most people will love demonstrating how beauty has changed through the years and how we're at this stage today. This section features look's from the 20's to the 70's to recreate yourself and look somewhat similar to beauty icon's mentioned throughout the years.

Overall I think this book is perfect for teenagers or beginners who are just getting into beauty. Though this book doesn't recommend the best products you can buy according to Lauren Conrad, I think this is great as it will not make you feel like you need what another person is able to afford in order to look your 'best'.

The book is so handy to reference to when purchasing skincare, brushes and items to suit the individual best.
So add it to your basket if you feel like treating yourself or another!

I hope this wasn't too boring as it's the first time I've done a book review. Let me know what you think below in the comments and what else you'd like to see on my blog!

Much Love,

The 'Me Time' TAG | Pamper Night

Hello!
I was tagged by the lovely Nicole from Thrifty Vintage Fashion, here- to do the Me Time TAG! I haven't done a TAG in a while so I thought i'd get this one done today! Without further-ado here goes...

1. What do you watch or read during me time?
I've got to be honest as I've said before I don't enjoy reading which is a shame. But I do tend to spend a while watching my YouTube subscriptions, I love everything from beauty, fashion to homeware and lifestyle.

2. What do you wear when you are having me time?
Anything cosy, usually oversized t-shirts or jumpers and pyjama bottoms.

3. What are your me time products?
I don't enjoy baths which is annoying seeing as all the LUSH bath products appeal to me. But I do love having long showers using Soap and Glory's Scrub of your Life, Argan Oil hair masks and any face mask I have lying around.

4. Current favourite nail polish.
I've recently started painting my nails again so had a little nail polish shop. I love this dark red/purple colour from the Rimmel Lycra Pro range in Hypnotise especially now it's Autumn.

A tad messy, oops
5. What do you eat/drink?
I simply love a cup of tea and biscuits, or if i'm really feeling it hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows!

6. Favourite candle.
I love both Yankee Candle tarts in Pink Sands and Sunlight on Snow. I'm sure you've heard of Pink Sands which is a really sweet rose scent but isn't too overpowering and Sunlight on Snow is actually from the Simply Home collection which just smells really clean and fresh.

7. Do you ever have outdoor me time?
I wish I did, I'd love to just take myself somewhere near by and beautiful to just take my mind off things. I get quite anxious when it's dark though and just generally being alone so unfortunately I don't have that.

8. Would you ever go and see a movie by yourself?
I've contemplated it but probably not, I always feel sorry for the person I see on their tod in the cinema!

9. Favourite online shop.
I love both boohoo.com and ASOS, boohoo for the basics usually and ASOS is usually quite affordable and has a huge range.

10. What else do you do in your me time?
Following on from the last question, online shopping or just browsing and also catching up on blog posts that I haven't yet read on bloglovin, you can also find me here.

And that's the tag complete, I actually really enjoyed doing this TAG so thank you to Nicole for tagging me.

What I love about Autumn | The Autumn Edit

Hello!

Seeing as it feels like we're well into Autumn, I thought i'd do an Autumn Edit including what I like to bring out of my wardrobe this season and what I love about the Autumn.

As much as I love summer, I love it when the Autumn starts to creep in! I love getting out the warmer clothes and simply just the colours throughout the Autumnal months!
Definitely on the top of my list is a good pair of Chelsea boots, they pretty much go with everything, not to mention they're cute and so comfortable!
This year I bought ones with small cleated soles so they'd last me throughout the cold and rainy months and walking back and forth college. If i'm honest I can't remember exactly where these are from as they're from a catalogue my mum got sent and they were just £15 with the discount code!

A staple for most female and male in fact is a leather jacket. I love leather jackets for layering especially, they're so easy to throw on and again pretty much go with everything and can dress down a smart outfit, perfect for the daytime! Mine is actually from Matalan and was in the sale for £20, I think it looks a lot more expensive!

Last in terms of clothing is scarfs, I love scarfs! I think a patterned scarf brings an outfit to life and I especially love a tartan and dog tooth in the Autumn/Winter, although i'm still on the hunt for a dog tooth one! The tartan scarf I have is not your classic red or green tartan, this one is pink and grey! I love it and it was only £5 in Primark and it's like a blanket.

For makeup I love a bold purple or red lip, yet i'm not brave enough to pull off the solid purple or red lip. Instead I opt for this berry colour that's not as scary as it looks in the bullet. I love how it looks on the lip as it isn't too strong, so I've actually got the balls to wear it out! I'm building up the courage to try and rock a dark red lip this Autumn/Winter.

Bronze eyes are a must for Autumn in my opinion! They definitely reflect the Autumnal colours and I think most skin tones can pull them off. I love matte bases with shimmer going through the crease as it looks so shimmery and pretty when the light catches it!

I love it when the nights start to draw in and get a little colder as it means putting your comfiest PJ's on, grabbing a cup of tea or hot chocolate and snuggling up on the sofa with a blanket, the fire on and endless amounts of TV and films!

Halloween and Bonfire Night are on the horizon and I for one can't wait! Although I rarely do anything for Halloween, I love carving a pumpkin and handing out sweet treats to the little ones usually dressed as a classic Witch or Vampire. It's more likely that i'll do something for Bonfire Night, I love wrapping up warm and heading out with friends or family to see the local fireworks display, oh so pretty!

I just love the colours that Autumn has to offer- orange, yellows, reds and browns! The leaves look so lovely and I love incorporating the colours into my wardrobe, mustard and burgundy are my favourites during this time of the year!

Lastly but certainly not least, the build up to Christmas! It's going to come around quickly and go again so I love to make the most of it by starting my Christmas Shopping early, whipping out the festive PJamas and begging my mum to put the Christmas decorations up- sadly i'm never successful with this as they don't usually go up til around the second week of December, damn it!

And that's a wrap on what I love about Autumn, what do you love or in fact don't like about Autumn?

I'd love to hear, so comment below and let me know!

That's all for now, until next time...
